Uranium expert with 35 years experience sees new uranium highs coming!

Uranium is not just popular with the retail crowd but with the institutional crowd as well. It really does seem like a no brainer investment given nuclear energy being the solution for base load energy with CO2 free emissions, and the current supply and demand uranium set up.

Things get more interesting as the European Union ban on Russian crude oil goes live on December 5th . There are some issues with the price gap, but this has the potential to send crude oil prices higher! But for uranium investors, this begs the question: will Russian uranium be next? In previous weekly uranium sector roundups, I have written about banks such as Citi being bullish uranium because they see a ban or sanctions on Russian uranium coming. Kazakhstan’s Kazatomprom is also looking at alternative routes to deliver uranium rather than through St Petersburg in case sanctions or a ban is […]

Uranium Royalty: An Inferior Way To Get Uranium Exposure

RHJ Uranium Royalty Corp. (NASDAQ: UROY ) is trying to bring the royalty and streaming model, which has been successful in other commodities, into the uranium space. Being a first mover into a particular business segment could prove to be an advantage, but on the other hand, the first years are usually challenging. As such, UROY is yet to start receiving meaningful revenues from its existing agreements, and there’s uncertainty about when that will happen with some projects. The ones that are in production, don’t appear to have the potential to bring significant cash, either. While the 1.5Mlbs of U 3 O 8 on the balance sheet gives a direct link to uranium prices, their market value is only a fraction of the EV. Overall, I think that given the current stage of the business development, UROY is not the best way to get uranium exposure. Company overview

Uranium-rich Niger struggles despite nuclear resurgence

Falling prices and rich deposits that have opened up in other countries have made times hard for Niger’s uranium mines Niamey (Niger) (AFP) – Prospects for the world’s nuclear industry have been boosted by the war in Ukraine and mounting hostility towards climate-wrecking fossil fuels — but Niger, one of the world’s biggest sources of uranium, has yet to feel the improvement.

The deeply impoverished landlocked Sahel state is a major supplier of uranium to the European Union, accounting for a fifth of its supplies, and is especially important to France, its former colonial power.

But its mining industry is in the doldrums.
