As the EU grapples with its own energy crisis, others believe the move adds to the strong case for nuclear power as a long-term energy solution On Wednesday the European Union backed labelling fossil fuel gas and nuclear projects as ‘green’, paving the way for hundreds of billions of euros in cheap loans and state subsidies.
